Between March and May 2026, Laura de Eugenio (CIB-CSIC) completed a short research stay at NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA FCT, Portugal) under the Salvador de Madariaga Programme (PRX24/00549).

The research stay focused on advancing biotic PHA repolymerisation strategies and the optimisation of polymer properties, contributing to SATISPHACTION's objective of developing innovative circular pathways for high-performance PHA-based food packaging.

By fostering collaboration between leading European research institutions, the exchange strengthened scientific synergies within the project and supported the development of biological approaches for producing new PHA polymers with tailored material properties from recovered building blocks.

This mobility also reinforced knowledge transfer between project partners, helping accelerate the development of sustainable and circular bioplastic solutions aligned with the project's vision of closing the loop for PHA food packaging.
