SATISPHACTION showcases its circular PHA upcycling strategy in the GO!PHA Science Talk series
30-03-2026

On March 11th 2026, the SATISPHACTION project participated in the GO!PHA Science Talk series through a presentation delivered by Julia Ponce González (AINIA), the project coordinator.

The webinar introduced SATISPHACTION's integrated approach to creating a truly circular value chain for PHA-based food packaging, combining chemical and biotic upcycling, AI-assisted polymer design, and the development of fully biodegradable packaging solutions with enhanced performance.

The presentation highlighted how the project aims to recover valuable molecular building blocks from post-consumer PHAs and transform them into new high-performance biopolymers, contributing to more sustainable and circular packaging systems while following Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) principles.

The complete presentation is openly available on Zenodo, allowing researchers, industry stakeholders and the wider innovation community to explore SATISPHACTION's strategy and technical approach in greater detail.
